About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Java and Python to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex software systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct performance testing and optimization for applications and infrastructure to ensure scalability and availability.
  • Monitor system reliability and implement chaos engineering practices to proactively identify and mitigate potential system vulnerabilities.
  • Define and manage Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and error budgets.
  • Provide debugging and support for applications, with a thorough understanding of REST APIs.

Requirements

  • Design, implement, and maintain Java and Python applications phases.
  • Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
  • Ensure designs comply with specifications.
  • Prepare and produce releases of software components.
  • Transform requirements into stipulations and identify production and non-production application issues.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Java and Python: Proficiency in both languages, including the ecosystem and standard libraries.
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Concepts such as inheritance, encapsulation, polymorphism, and abstraction.
  • Experience with frameworks: For Java, this might include Spring, Hibernate, etc. For Python, Django, Flask, or Pyramid could be relevant.
  • Database skills: Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
  • Version control: Experience with Git or other version control systems.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Communication: Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits
