Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced French Language Payee Information Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the payment process for French language content.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills in English and French, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities
  • PIM helps create records to make contributor payments for French language books for the French Global Content Partners team.
  • Liaises with the French Editorial team to obtain all relevant payment information for authors and contributors for newly signed/agreed titles.
  • Pays reviewers, ad hoc freelancers, and SMEs, as well as other payment requests from the French GCP team.
  • Checks payees' records and updates accordingly, or contacts payees to set up in the payment system if necessary.
  • Ensures adherence to agreed TATs for payee setup and payments, handles purchase order requests per the SLA, and follows up with the finance team to ensure timely completion.
  • Makes payment requests for EMC articles' author flat fees, invoices payments for EMC Scientific Directors/Advisors, and reimburses EMC members T&E expenses.
  • Handles queries and questions from authors and business in a timely manner.
  • Reports progress of payments to French GCP editorial staff on request.
  • Assists in managing contributor agreements, complimentary copies, and non-sales gratis copy fulfillment.
  • Sets up and maintains author/editor contracts in Exari.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent command of both English and French languages.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • An independent and strategic mindset, with a high level of diligence and results-driven approach.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in any discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in accounts payable or the finance sector.
