Operations Manager Job Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing a team and facilitating the flow of information across multiple stakeholders to resolve any potential issues that impact customer experience/business continuity.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities to improve team performance and own associated change management.
  • Develop and/or refer to performance metrics to drive team performance and business results.
  • Identify business impact of trends and make data-backed decisions.
  • Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Finance, Ops Excellence, Fulfillment Centers).
  • Escalate problems or variances in information and data to relevant owners and follow through on resolutions.

Qualifications:
  1. 3+ years employee and performance management experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon blue badge/FTE experience.
  3. Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. 1+ years performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
