Job Overview

The Assistant Manager position requires a highly skilled professional to review reference data attributes of Fixed Income Bonds, Listed Equity, Private Credit, and Private Equity. They will collaborate with data vendors and accounting teams to record accurate data points across systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial markets and asset management processes, as well as excellent communication skills to interact with internal colleagues and external vendors.

This role demands a high degree of analytical skill, technical bent of mind, and organizational and time management skills.

  • Review reference data attributes of Fixed Income Bonds (ABS, MBS, Corporate Bonds Term loans, Sovereign Bonds), Listed Equity, Private Credit, and Private Equity.
  • Analyze Investment holdings report, review key data points like Security Classifications, Ratings, Analytics, book yields etc.
  • Establish good understanding of data feeds from market data providers like Bloomberg etc.
  • Identify defects in data and ensure they are logged appropriately and work with relevant teams to ensure resolution.
  • Support and liaise for new data requirements for internal and external reporting, including various regulatory reporting like BSCR and Solv II.
  • Collaborate across various internal teams like Fixed Income, Risk, Reporting and external vendors, Custodian, other data providers.
  • Execute Solv II reporting.
  • Perform the monthly CRDB reporting build up process to AXA Group.
  • Automate manual process and controls leveraging Power Query.
  • Handle data related queries self-directedly and troubleshoot to provide desired solution and actively participate in new controls development.
  • Perform system to system reconciliation across systems to ensure data consistency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance/Computer Science.
  • Experience of relevant years in back-office operations in financial services industry.
  • Working knowledge of financial markets & asset management related processes and data.
  • Good understanding of data management processes including defining Data validations rules, Data exceptions monitoring and handling.
  • Ability to understand and work with data, including creating alignment among various data sources.
  • Excellent communication skills required to interact with internal colleagues and external vendors to resolve queries or completing a task in hand.
  • Excellent experience of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good knowledge about capital market and Investment instruments with respect to global financial environment.
  • Must have excellent analytical skill with technical bent of mind.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
