The Senior General Manager - Legal will oversee all legal matters for the Residential business vertical.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement legal frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance policies aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct legal risk assessments, audits, and governance reviews across Residential vertical.
- Oversee legal due diligence for land acquisitions, and property investments for residential properties.
- Ensure clear land titles.
- Provide legal support for township projects, mixed-use developments.
- Structure and negotiate land purchase agreements, joint development agreements (JDA), and leasehold transactions.
- Lead & address disputes related to property, contracts, and tenant agreements.
- Represent the company in civil, commercial, arbitration, and other proceedings.
- Collaborate with senior counsel, external law firms, and regulatory authorities to resolve high-value disputes efficiently.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate agreements including Joint Development Agreements (JDA) & Joint Venture Agreements (JVA)
- Sale Deeds, Conveyance Deeds, and Lease Agreements
- Construction, Vendor & Contractor Agreements
- Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) & Licensing Agreements
- Mortgage Deeds, Loan Documentation, and Escrow Agreements
- Marketing, Brokerage & Franchise Agreements
- Facilities Management & Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- End customer documentation
- Establish contract review mechanisms to protect business interests and minimize risks.
- Education: Bachelor of Law or Master of Law degree
- Experience: 20+ years of legal experience, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
