Job Description

Ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing using QTP/UFT. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining automated test scripts, creating reusable functions and object repositories, and designing automation solutions that cover both positive and negative scenarios.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for building and maintaining test data, executing automated test scripts, analyzing results, and generating detailed reports. Additionally, they will identify, document, and report bugs and discrepancies, providing detailed logs and replication steps.

We are looking for a skilled professional who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate automated test coverage and ensure its efficiency. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with QTP/UFT, including scripting, object repository management, and automation frameworks. Proficiency in VBScript is required, as well as experience with keyword-driven, data-driven, and hybrid frameworks.

Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Quality Center (ALM), or similar tools for test management and defect tracking is essential. Working knowledge of Git, SVN, or similar tools for version control is also required. Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools for test automation integration within CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX for automated testing of web applications. Knowledge of tools like Postman, SoapUI, or integration with QTP/UFT for API testing is also beneficial. Basic SQL skills for creating and validating test data are necessary.
