Electrical Engineer - Hardware Design Specialist

As a key player in the development of power electronics systems, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end hardware development, encompassing system design and component selection.

  • System Architecture: Define the overall system architecture and specify hardware components for high-voltage battery systems (400V–800V).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, thermal, and systems engineering, to ensure seamless integration and compatibility.
  • Design Optimization: Guide the PCB layout process for high-power designs, focusing on electromagnetic interference/compatibility (EMI/EMC) compliance and thermal management.
  • Validation and Testing: Drive the validation and testing of prototypes in laboratory and vehicle environments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to automotive industry standards, such as ISO 26262, AEC-Q100, and functional safety guidelines.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in selecting and integrating components, including MCUs, ADCs, op-amps, shunt resistors, Hall-effect sensors, and isolation devices.
  • Ability to develop schematics and PCB layouts using tools like Altium Designer, OrCAD, or KiCAD, adhering to automotive standards.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience in hardware design and development, with a focus on electrical engineering and power electronics systems.
