We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist with 3-7 years of experience in Linux system administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our Linux server environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure, and will be able to administer, configure, and monitor Linux servers and operating systems to ensure optimal performance and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and monitor Linux servers and operating systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including Linux patch management, security updates, and OS upgrades
  • Manage and troubleshoot File system-related issues (Linux Native/Veritas)
  • Conduct User Management, Disk Management, and Linux networking
  • Provide technical support to system users, leveraging strong knowledge of Linux system management principles
  • Detect and resolve technical issues and glitches in the Linux operating system
  • Maintain the stability and integrity of the Linux environment through effective management
  • Gather and apply knowledge of cloud computing and virtualization technologies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience of 3-7 years working as a Linux administrator
  • Solid knowledge of Linux system management principles and practices
  • Proven experience with User Management, File System Management, Disk Management, and Linux networking
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintaining Linux servers

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced certifications in Linux system management (e.g. RHCT or RHCE)
  • Experience in cluster node management for production environments
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python) for automation of administrative tasks
  • Experience with Veritas for file system management
  • A deeper understanding of cloud computing and virtualization concepts beyond basic familiarity
