Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Directory Engineer to lead an enterprise migration initiative involving the integration of two separate Active Directory forests and a transition toward cloud-based identity solutions.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with directory services, including domain controller migrations, replication setup, and troubleshooting complex identity-related issues in a secure and regulated environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and document existing directory and DNS environments.
  • Implement domain controller migrations and replication setup across multiple forest environments.
  • Support the integration and migration to Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Assist in transitioning DNS from Windows to a cloud-based solution.
  • Configure and manage network infrastructure, including DHCP scopes, conditional forwarders, and stub zones.
  • Troubleshoot issues with authentication protocols, including LDAP, Kerberos, and NTLM.
  • Write and maintain automation scripts for provisioning and configuration management.
  • Execute infrastructure-as-code via Terraform within existing CI/CD pipelines.
  • FOLLOW DETAILED IMPLEMENTATION PLANS CREATED BY THE ARCHITECT OR LEAD.
  • Collaborate with team members through collaborative platforms, participate in daily standups, and maintain accurate technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience with directory services (multi-domain or multi-forest environments).
  • Solid understanding of: directory services, cloud-based identity solutions, PKI and NPS, DNS & DHCP (Windows Server and/or cloud alternatives), LDAP, Kerberos, and NTLM protocols.
  • Understanding of identity protocols: OIDC, OAuth2, SAML.
  • Experience with directory trusts, group policy, OUs, and FSMO roles.
  • Strong scripting skills, preferably in PowerShell.
  • Comfortable navigating both legacy and modern hybrid cloud setups.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools, such as Terraform.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and cloud-native platforms.
  • Experience with hybrid identity platforms and large-scale migrations.
  • Awareness of IT compliance and governance in cloud-native infrastructure.
