Job Summary:

A gastroenterologist plays a pivotal role in the diagnosis and management of various gastrointestinal, hepatic, biliary, and pancreatic disorders. This position requires strong expertise in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with proficiency in performing and interpreting endoscopic procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage patients suffering from GI tract issues, such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, rectal bleeding, or symptoms of liver disease.

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures like Upper GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Capsule Endoscopy, etc., to evaluate and treat various conditions affecting the digestive system.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals from Surgery, Oncology, Critical Care, Radiology, etc. to provide comprehensive patient care.

  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with hepatology cases, including viral hepatitis, cirrhosis, and liver failure.

Requirements:

  • DM (Gastroenterology) degree from an accredited institute.

  • Strong knowledge of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with expertise in managing complex cases.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in a tertiary care hospital setting.
