About This Position:

We are seeking a seasoned Data Center Backup Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in backup tools and tape libraries, with a strong understanding of data center environments.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Design and manage backup solutions for regular data backups.
    • Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to backup jobs and tape libraries.
    • Test backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of backup procedures and recovery plans.
    • Collaborate with IT teams on data protection initiatives.
    • Monitor backup systems for performance and capacity.
    • Implement security protocols for data backups.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in computer science or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in backup engineering within data centers.
  • In-depth knowledge of backup tools (e.g., Veritas, Veeam, Commvault, Networker).
  • Experience with tape libraries and data deduplication.
  • Relevant certifications are highly valued.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
