Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Software Tester with 3+ years of experience in FinTech, banking, or payment solutions testing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in manual testing, test planning, and defect management, as well as exposure to test automation.

About the Role

  1. Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases (manual and automated) for web and API-based FinTech applications.
  2. Execute functional, regression, integration, API, Performance, system, and end-to-end tests.
  3. Identify, record, and thoroughly document defects and issues.
  4. Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and provide early feedback.
  5. Drive defect triage processes, working collaboratively with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution.
  6. Lead test documentation and QA reporting for multiple releases.
  7. Collaborate with product and BA teams to ensure user stories and acceptance criteria are clearly defined and testable.
  8. Ensure all software testing complies with regulatory frameworks.
  9. Provide mentorship to junior QA engineers and support test automation scripting using tools such as Selenium, RestAssured, or similar tools.
  10. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, etc.
  11. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings.
  12. Continuously improve testing processes and frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with manual testing, including test design, execution, and documentation.
  • Solid knowledge of API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on with SQL and backend data validation.
  • Proficient in using bug tracking and test management tools.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber, or RestAssured.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and analytical thinking skills.
