Data Engineering Expert for Cloud Data Platform

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Expert to lead the development and implementation of our cloud data platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data warehousing solutions using Snowflake.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Warehouse Development: Design, develop, and maintain optimal data architectures and performance on the Snowflake platform.
  • ETL/ELT Pipeline Implementation: Build efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) or ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) data pipelines to ingest, process, and load large volumes of structured and semi-structured data into Snowflake.
  • SQL Development & Optimization: Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and reporting within Snowflake.
  • Snowflake Features Utilization: Work extensively with Snowflake's core features such as virtual warehouses, stages, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, and Zero Copy Cloning.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of experience in Snowflake Data Engineering with a strong focus on Snowflake.
  • In-depth understanding of Snowflake's cloud data platform architecture and key features.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries and optimize query performance.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling concepts.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or Scala for data processing and automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and their data services, particularly in relation to data ingestion to Snowflake.
  • Tools such as data integration tools (e.g., Fivetran, Matillion) or orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a keen attention to detail. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
