Senior Electrical Power System Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Design Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of high voltage substations in India and abroad.

• Hands-on experience in Estimation, Bidding, Conceptual / Base Designs, Detailed Designs, Calculations and Drawings / Documentation, Material Take Off, Design and Interface Coordination activities in EHV (765KV / 400KV) AIS and GIS Substations is required.
• Relevant experience in Design, Engineering, Coordination and Site Implementation of Extra -High Voltage AIS and GIS Equipment, Control & Protection, Auxiliary Systems and associated Systems / Works in EHV Substations is also required.
• The ideal candidate should have pre-bid engineering and detailing with material take off experience.
• Review of specifications is an essential part of this role.
• Preparation of clarifications is another key responsibility.
• Techncial evaluation of vendor/proposals is required.
• Review, finalisation and preparation of technical data schedules is necessary.
• The candidate should be able to prepare base design documentation and calculations.
• GA/Sections and details preparation for finalisation of overall layout drawings is another task.
• Civil guide drawings preparation as required for interface/developing associated civil drawings is also necessary.
• Overall services coordination drawings preparation is another key responsibility.
• List of inputs and interfacing required for design and construction works preparation is essential.
• Detailed review of civil design sub-contractors design output and co-ordination of interfaces with others (electrical, services etc.) is necessary.
• Drawing submissions to O/E is another key task.
• Design documentation, drawings review and ensuring that it is line with required sequence of civil site works and the over project time schedule is another responsibility.
• Document preparation, submission schedule monitoring to ensure sequences of drawings issue and approvals so that planned civil and related activities are not affected is essential.
• O/E comments co-ordination and discussions is necessary.
• Preparation and review of detailed scope of work for civil design sub-contractor based on the project time schedule, specifications etc. is another key responsibility.
• Preparation and review of detailed scope of work for vendors/sub contractors is also necessary.
• B.O.Q for the scope of design & civil construction works preparation based on the tender specifications and the layout drawings for internal evaluation and monitoring is essential.
• Support procurement procedures like enquiries, price comparison, finalization of vendor and order placement for the above materials is another key task.
• Vendors and sub-contractors co-ordination for design/documentation outputs including timely resubmissions until Final Approval is necessary.
• Vendor documents review with respect to project specification, drawings is another key responsibility.
• Limitations/hold ups identification for progress of design works and co-ordinate to resolve the same is essential.
• Correct sequence of drawings/documentation issue to suit progress of works and overall project schedule co-ordination is necessary.
• Sub-contractors designs/drawings submission to customer is another key task.
• O/E discussions regarding related design issues, review and resolve customer comments and associated drawings revision is necessary.
• List of materials and their submittals review and finalisation is another key responsibility.
• All the above till final Approvals and Acceptance of Project Works update, modify, revise and follow up is essential.
• Red mark drawings co-ordination is necessary.
• As-built documentation preparation is another key task.
• Engineering support for uninterrupted progress of site activities is essential.
• Daily/weekly/monthly reports preparation and submission is another key responsibility.
