Software Assurance Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to contribute to our Quality Assurance team.


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to be a key contributor in the Software Quality Assurance effort of complex products and platforms.


Main Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute, and document test plans, cases, and results to ensure quality assurance.
  • Work with project teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective solutions.
  • Analyze product implementation by reading standards, functional specs, and engineering discussions.
  • Collaborate with chip validation, drivers, software, design, and applications teams to review Test documents.
  • Reproduce, root cause, and verify solutions to customer escalations in a timely manner.
  • Provide project status and estimates to project managers.
  • Review project activities for compliance with quality assurance guidelines and standards.

Required Skills
  • Experience in network protocols, especially Ethernet TCP/IP, and good understanding of QoS and security.
  • Scripting skills in TCL, Perl, Python, or Ruby, and Linux experience.
  • Protocol knowledge in TCP/IP stack (xSTP, IGMP, LLDP, LACP, 802.1X, SNMP, DHCP), RFC2544, RFC2889, TSN, and management protocols.
  • Timing protocol knowledge in IEEE1588, PTP/SyncE, Timing standards, and hands-on experience with Paragon-x, Calnex, Oscilloscope, and related HW.
  • Network test equipment experience with Smart Bits, Spirent Test Center, and Ixia.
  • Switch & routing products experience in Carrier and Enterprise environments.
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills, documentation, and design specification writing skills.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in CSE/EEE/ECE required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise and Carrier software testing.
