About the Role:

Aurigo Software Technologies Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our database environment, ensuring high availability and reliability. Your expertise in PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases, particularly DynamoDB and MongoDB, will be invaluable in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest database trends and technologies, implementing them as per business requirements.
  • Maintain the complete database environment, prioritizing security.
  • Prepare knowledge base articles and presentations for management, participating in regular reviews.
  • Work on cost optimization, high availability, and reliability architecture deployment and maintenance.
  • Ensure 100% uptime of the database environment in Cloud.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in PostgreSQL administration, preferably on AWS Cloud.
  • Strong experience in database modeling, administration, tuning, and troubleshooting performance problems.
  • Knowledge of replication, backup, and recovery.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, cloud databases, and data migration.
  • Powershell scripting for administration and job automation.
  • Exposure to AWS Cloud infrastructure and database tuning on Amazon RDS.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • PostgreSQL certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of database structure and theory.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
