Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a security operations center.
  • Develop and implement use cases to detect organizational risks and threats by analyzing log formats, sources, and parsing for accurate data utilization.
  • Familiarity with SIEM and analytics tools like Securonix, Sentinel, or Splunk is required.
  • Define thresholds, logic, and conditions to reduce false positives and improve detection accuracy using Alert Logic.
  • Awareness of incident response workflows to align use cases with actionable intelligence is essential.
  • Create and optimize KPI/KRI reports to track detection and response performance across multiple teams.
  • Analyze alert data to refine use cases and adjust logic periodically to enhance the overall security posture.
  • Detect and respond to company-wide security incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Triage events, escalations, and incidents to determine remediation and resolution actions while maintaining open communication channels.
  • Coordinate appropriate response activities across teams or directly with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Develop playbooks to improve processes and information sharing across teams to increase collaboration and efficiency.
  • Support initiatives and projects to provide Security Operations and Incident Response perspective to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute technical and process improvements within the team to maintain a high level of security maturity.
  • Participate in current operations, on call rotation with some after-hours responsibilities and escalations as needed.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a security operations center.
