Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Quantitative Analyst Intern to join our team, contributing to the development of algorithmic trading strategies and financial models. As a Quant Analyst Intern, you will leverage your mathematical, analytical, and programming skills to support trading activities and strategy development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Assist in identifying, maintaining, and enhancing trading strategies and business opportunities across our trading teams.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze trading performance and financial time series data using statistical methods to uncover trends and optimize strategies.
- Automation: Help in automating trading strategies through a systematic, data-driven approach, ensuring efficiency and responsiveness to market changes.
- Financial Modelling: Assist in constructing, back-testing, and maintaining financial models to support trading activities and decision-making.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the technology team to maintain and enhance electronic trading systems.
- Risk Management: Contribute to managing risk effectively by learning about risk management procedures and adapting strategies to changing market conditions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience or coursework in data analysis, market research, and financial modelling is a plus.
- Proficiency in programming languages, preferably Python or C++.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply mathematical and statistical techniques to real-world financial data.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for teamwork.
- A strong interest in financial markets, trading, and algorithmic strategies.
