We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our supplier quality management efforts. As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring suppliers meet company and regulatory standards through audits, quality improvement initiatives, and strong partnerships.
This includes developing and managing supplier quality strategies and risk management processes. You will also lead supplier qualification, selection, and approval in alignment with regulatory standards. Conducting supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements is crucial.
You will oversee supplier corrective and preventive actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement programs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve supplier-related issues is essential. Monitoring supplier KPIs and driving improvement initiatives will also be part of your responsibilities.
Supporting new product development by ensuring supplier capability for components and services is vital. Managing supplier change control processes and evaluating the impact on product quality and regulatory compliance requires attention to detail.
Training internal teams and suppliers on quality systems and compliance expectations is a key aspect of this role. Experience in global supplier management and multicultural environments is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in supplier quality management, auditing, and regulatory compliance. In-depth knowledge of GMP, GDP, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949 (if automotive/industrial) is necessary. Proficiency in risk management, root cause analysis, CAPA, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies is also required.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are essential. A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field is preferred. Ten plus years of experience in supplier quality assurance, preferably in pharma/medical devices/regulated manufacturing industries, is required. Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001/13485, GMP, or equivalent) is a plus. Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification is also beneficial.
