Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer

The company seeks a skilled QA Engineer to join its fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and be proficient in both manual and automated testing methodologies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications to identify defects and ensure product functionality meets specifications
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.
  • Implement and maintain automation framework
  • Automate API (web services and RESTful), and backend database testing using existing and new tools
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, improve efficiency and overall quality of the product
  • Maintain QA documentation
  • Document and track defects, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution
  • Develop test plans, test cases on multiple projects of varying size
  • Coordinate with the QA lead on testing activities for given release

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in a software development environment
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Professional experience in JAVA / C# programming languages
  • Experience testing RESTful web services and API's
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Development background required (.NET, JAVA etc.)
  • Performance and Load testing experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working across time zones

About this role

This QA Engineer role requires expertise in software testing methodologies, tools, and processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with Java/C# programming languages, as well as RESTful web services and APIs. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also essential. This position involves coordinating with the QA lead on testing activities and ensuring timely resolution of defects.
