Mathematics Expert

We are looking for a skilled Mathematician to collaborate on projects involving the fine-tuning of large language models. In this role, you will work on designing and solving complex mathematical problems to probe the limitations of these models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality solutions with clear and rigorous reasoning.
  • Collaborate with researchers to align problem types with evaluation goals.
  • Contribute to defining new evaluation benchmarks based on Mathematics curricula spanning early undergraduate to PhD-level topics.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Good research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations.
  • Creative thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Desktop/Laptop setup with a good internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to analyze and solve complex math problems with a structured and logical approach.
  • Ability to explain math concepts clearly using simple language, visuals, and examples.
