Geological Expert

We are seeking an experienced structural geologist to contribute to our organization's geological expertise in the field of structural geology.

This key position involves conducting structural analysis and interpretation of seismic data, generating structural cross-sections and maps, developing a deep understanding of geomechanics, stress and strain analysis, rock mechanics, and fluid flow.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geological knowledge into project development.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough structural analysis and interpretation of seismic data to inform geological assessments.
• Generate high-quality structural cross-sections and maps to support project development.
• Develop and apply advanced knowledge of geomechanics, stress and strain analysis, rock mechanics, and fluid flow to optimize geological outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate geological knowledge into project development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in Geology or Earth Science with a focus on structural geology.
• Proven experience in fault framework analysis and structural mapping.
• Strong knowledge of geomechanics, stress and strain analysis, rock mechanics, and fluid flow.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in the upstream oil and gas industry.
• Mastery of regional and local structural fault framework using seismic data.
