Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Assistant Vice President - Decision Sciences. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading projects and working directly with business to deliver high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in Basel Model development domain, independently leading projects and working directly with business to deliver high-quality output.
  • Ensure Basel model development and maintenance is in line with HSBC North America Holdings (HNAH) Inc. standards.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders simultaneously and deliver in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Ensure adherence with all applicable compliance policies and business standards of the organization.
  • Take timely action on Audit and Interest Maintain Reserve (IMR) comments and demonstrate compliance with Internal controls.
  • Proactively identify challenges or new opportunities and provide solutions.

Requirements

  • 4-year bachelor's or master's degree from a reputable university with a concentration on marketing, finance, economics, or other quantitative fields such as statistics or engineering.
  • Strong analytical skills with 4+ years of proven business analysis experience or equivalent. Knowledge and understanding of financial services preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory guidelines, including Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and European Banking Authority (EBA).
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience of Model Development or Model Monitoring.
  • Thorough understanding of retail banking along with project management skills.
  • Experience on model monitoring projects and Basel models, enabling presentation to various review functions and external parties.
  • Ownership of Basel Model Lifecycle, ensuring flawless completion of modeling projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams, with strong interpersonal skills and a drive for success.
