About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled neurosurgeon to join our team at Spandana Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of microsurgeries and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate teams of surgeons and nurses in the operating theatre.
  • Operate microscopes for surgeries to perform microsurgeries.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, such as MRIs, PET scans, and CT scans.
  • Assess and diagnose patients, prescribe treatments, and monitor their progress.
  • Meet with families of patients in surgery and keep them updated.
  • Handle unscheduled emergency surgeries.
  • Work with psychiatrists, therapists, and neurologists, and consult with other departments.
  • Perform basic administrative and business tasks, such as keeping records, writing prescriptions, and filling out paperwork.
  • Stay up-to-date with new discoveries and attend academic conferences.

Requirements

  • A medical degree and the successful completion of a residency and fellowship in neurosurgery.
  • A license and certification to practice neurosurgery.
  • The ability to read and interpret diagnostic reports.
  • A thorough knowledge of human anatomy and microsurgery techniques.
  • Excellent hand dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to handle physically and mentally demanding tasks, and work under intense pressure and stress.
