We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead to oversee the installation and commissioning of new machines, maintenance of production equipment and utilities, ensuring high uptime and smooth commissioning.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Operations & Expansion Support
  1. Ensure the reliability of module line equipment, including stringers, layup stations, laminators, framing, IV/EL testers, Hi-Pot, and the packing line.
  2. Lead the maintenance team during commissioning of the 800 MW Topcon line and ensure seamless ramp-up to 1.7 GW capacity.
  3. Oversee plant utilities, including HVAC, compressed air, vacuum systems, chillers, boilers, DG sets, ETP/STP, and their scalability as capacity grows.
  • Reliability & Continuous Improvement
  1. Analyze breakdowns using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
  2. Introduce Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tools and preventive maintenance schedules to drive performance towards 98% line uptime.
  3. Support automation and PLC/SCADA/MES upgrades, along with IoT-enabled condition monitoring.
  4. Collaborate with operations to create a culture of continual improvement (Kaizen and 5S) to improve Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
  5. Train and build a team for autonomous maintenance.
  • Team & Vendor Leadership
  1. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and technicians across electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation functions by driving TPM philosophy.
  2. Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), coordinate vendors, and optimize spare-parts inventory.
  3. Train the team in safety, lean maintenance practices, and prepare them for the Topcon commissioning.
  • Safety & Compliance
  1. Ensure maintenance functions adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) norms, ISO standards, and cleanroom protocols.
  2. Maintain audit-ready documentation.
  3. Drive energy-efficiency initiatives and utility cost optimizations especially as capacity scales.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of solar module production, preferably Topcon technology, or adjacent sectors like glass, electronics, or automotive manufacturing using cleanroom or continuous processes.

Key qualifications include:

  • B.E / B.Tech in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
  • 15+ years of maintenance experience in industrial settings, including 5 years in managerial roles
  • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, utilities, and on-floor troubleshooting
