Key Responsibilities
- Drive design, development, and testing of Fuel Cell and Electrolyzer products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams at BE HQ, San Jose, to achieve design goals and provide technical inputs.
- Conduct accurate flow and thermal analysis of cell, column, and enclosure systems.
- Translate complex problems into computational models.
- Utilize model predictions to explore options and inform design decisions.
- Manage and execute flow analysis with CFD tools and handbook calculations.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate models and product performance.
- Publish reports and present modeling results to stakeholders.
- Develop new codes and models to enhance modeling capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a background in applied CFD.
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and mass transfer.
- 5+ years of experience with CFD software packages, with at least 3 years in industry or product development.
- Proficient in ANSYS Spaceclaim, Mesher, and Fluent, from preprocessing to postprocessing.
- Experience with complex flow and thermal problems involving multispecies and all modes of heat transfer.
- Prior experience in thermal testing is a plus.
- Ability to translate real-world problems into efficient CFD models.
- Experience with user-defined functions and coupling with CFD packages.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Experience in analyzing thermal test data for model validation.
- Prior exposure to Fuel Cell or Energy applications is a plus.
- Ability to learn new application areas.
