Job Title: Kotlin Multiplatform Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill a cross-platform mobile developer position.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building cross-platform mobile applications with Kotlin Multiplatform, delivering native experiences for iOS and Android while sharing core business logic.

This role involves working closely with other mobile and backend developers to design, develop, and optimize applications that are scalable, maintainable, and performant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, Develop, and Maintain Cross-Platform Applications: Using Kotlin Multiplatform to create high-quality, engaging user experiences for both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Implement Shared Business Logic: Developing and maintaining shared data layers across Android and iOS platforms to ensure seamless integration and data consistency.
  • Collaborate with Platform Teams: Working closely with iOS and Android teams to integrate KMP modules with Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose frontends.
  • Develop RESTful API and GraphQL Integrations: Building and maintaining RESTful APIs and GraphQL integrations, local database access, and offline-first capabilities to ensure smooth app performance.
  • Optimize App Performance: Ensuring native user experiences on both platforms through code optimization, caching, and content delivery network (CDN) usage.
  • Participate in Code Reviews: Collaborating with junior developers on KMP best practices, ensuring clean architecture, and modular code structure for reusability and scalability.
  • Work with Product Owners and QA Teams: Meeting project requirements in an Agile environment by working closely with product owners, QA, and UI/UX teams.
  • Stay Updated: Staying current with KMP ecosystem updates, Jetpack libraries, SwiftUI, and modern mobile development trends to deliver innovative solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Mobile Development Experience: 4–8 years of professional mobile development experience with at least 1–2 years in Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP/KMM).
  • Kotlin Expertise: Strong expertise in Kotlin, including coroutines, flows, and modern Kotlin idioms.
  • Native Android Development: Experience in native Android development (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose) and working knowledge of iOS (Swift/SwiftUI).
  • Platform-Specific Codebases: Hands-on experience integrating KMP modules with platform-specific codebases.
  • Clean Architecture: Strong knowledge of clean architecture, MVVM, and modular project structures.
  • API Integrations: Experience working with REST APIs, GraphQL, and JSON parsing.
  • Version Control Systems: Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and dependency management for multiplatform projects.
  • Reusable Code: Ability to write reusable, testable code and perform unit testing in shared modules.
