Senior Data Architect Position

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Architect to spearhead the development of cutting-edge data pipelines, lakehouse architectures, and high-performance data solutions. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned expert in Microsoft Azure to utilize their skills in designing and optimizing scalable data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop highly scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Develop and optimize lakehouse architectures on Azure utilizing Delta Lake, guaranteeing efficient data management and processing.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide strategic guidance.
  • Implement data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows from diverse sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Leverage Azure services such as Data Lake Storage Gen2, Event Hubs, Azure Functions, and Key Vault to streamline data operations and enhance overall system performance.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep for automated provisioning and reduced administrative burdens.
  • Optimize cloud resource usage for optimal performance and cost-efficiency, aligning with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to deliver advanced analytics solutions, driving business growth and innovation.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and contribute to data governance initiatives, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expert-level experience with Azure Data Services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Machine Learning.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex transformations, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Advanced Python skills for data pipeline development, orchestration, and automation.
  • Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools for Azure, ensuring seamless deployment and configuration management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, promoting continuous integration, delivery, and improvement.
  • Experience with containerization is highly desirable, enabling flexible and portable application deployment.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in Azure, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with batch and streaming data processing using tools like Structured Streaming or Event Hubs, handling real-time data ingestions and analytics.
