Industrial Hygiene Manager Position Overview

An Industrial Hygiene Manager plays a vital role in developing and implementing comprehensive industrial hygiene management programs to ensure a safe working environment for employees.

The ideal candidate will have experience in identifying occupational hazards, developing IH standards, and providing technical consulting support for internal IH competencies. This includes planning and implementing IH management programs, conducting qualitative assessments, and providing technical support for training and coaching sessions.

The successful candidate will also assist line management in monitoring legal compliance to local statutory requirements and participate in global networking to share best practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive industrial hygiene management programs to safeguard employee health and well-being.
  • Identify occupational hazards through thorough qualitative assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating risks.
  • Develop and improve IH standards and competencies to ensure excellence in the field.
  • Provide technical consulting support for training and coaching sessions to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Assist line management in monitoring legal compliance to local statutory requirements, ensuring the organization remains up-to-date with regulatory changes.
  • Participate in global networking and sharing of best practices to stay ahead in the industry.
Key Qualifications:
  • Experience in industrial hygiene management with a focus on occupational hazards and risk assessment.
  • Strong understanding of IH standards and competencies, with the ability to develop and improve them.
  • Excellent technical consulting skills, with the ability to provide support for training and coaching sessions.
  • Ability to work effectively with line management to monitor legal compliance and stay up-to-date with regulatory changes.
