Job Overview
  • We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Reconciliation team as a Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, posting, and reconciling payments received by our Revenue Team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring and managing incoming payments.
  • Retrieving and posting remittances from applicable payor websites when the remittance is not available from clearinghouse.
  • Reviewing remittances for applicable adjustments and transferring balance to secondary or patient responsibility when appropriate.
  • Responding to questions related to payment application and working closely with onshore teams to resolve any account variances.
  • Researching and correcting keying errors as needed.
  • Documenting the root cause and discrepancies and generating reports based on department protocols.
  • Documenting the results of research and amending appropriate systems as required to reconcile payments.
  • Identifying trends in improved internal processes, systems, etc., as needed.
  • Conforming to defined platform, client, payer, and/or internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) and/or other applicable guidelines and regulations in completing job duties.
  • Ensuring all workflow items are completed within set turn-around-time within quality expectations.
  • Reconciling payments to ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions.
  • Performing daily financial transactions such as verifying, calculating, and posting accounts receivable data.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in reconciliation, accounting, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
