We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the position of AS400 Technical Expert. This individual will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and maintenance services for our IBM AS400 systems.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong background in business process analysis, with a focus on understanding the intricacies of the AS400 application and system architecture diagram.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide level 2 and level 3 support for IBM AS/400 systems, including COBOL, RPG III, RPGILE, SQLILE, and CLLE programming.
  • Analyse and resolve complex technical issues, including customized code modules.
  • Ensure seamless integration between the AS400 application and other systems.
  • Configure and maintain monitoring mechanisms, log directories, and housekeeping processes on AS400 servers.

Technical Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of COBOL, RPG programming, DB2 databases, CL commands, and communication protocols specific to AS400.
  • Experience with code walkthroughs, troubleshooting, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements for AS400 systems.
