Job Title: Production Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to oversee the apparel manufacturing unit's day-to-day operations.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished leader to drive daily, weekly, and monthly production target achievement in alignment with customer orders and business commitments.

You will be responsible for monitoring line-wise productivity and taking timely corrective measures to address shortfalls.

  • Support capacity planning and scheduling to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Oversee end-to-end operations across production, quality, maintenance, and material flow.

You will implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and other process improvement methods to minimize downtime and ensure smooth workflow across all production lines.

Quality is paramount in this role. You must ensure all products meet defined quality standards (AQL, buyer specifications) and support regular in-line and end-line quality checks.

Achieving compliance with statutory norms, safety protocols, and labor laws is also essential.

  • Assist in waste reduction and improving cost efficiency.
  • Ensure optimal usage of manpower, machinery, and materials.

Supervising and guiding production supervisors, quality leads, and support staff, as well as monitoring individual and team performance against agreed KPIs, will be a key part of this role.

You will prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and performance reports and coordinate closely with the Factory Manager, Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams to meet delivery timelines.

Requirements
  • Education: B.Tech / B.E. (Textile / Garment Technology) or equivalent. Diploma in Apparel Manufacturing accepted for exceptional candidates.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years in apparel manufacturing with significant exposure to high-volume production.
  • Proven experience in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing targets.
  • Familiarity with garment manufacturing processes, sewing line balancing, fabric types, trims, and finishing.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results in tight timelines.
