Surveillance Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Surveillance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and closing electronic and audio communication alerts.

  • Main Responsibilities:

    • Reviewing and analyzing alerts generated from automated systems to detect potential policy violations, escalating when necessary.
    • Performing audio surveillance by listening to recorded communications to detect potential policy violations, escalating when necessary.
    • Properly documenting rationales with accurate commentary for audit trail.
    • Adhering to operating procedures and modifying them when needed.
    • Driving the enhancement and improvement of the communication surveillance program.
    • Supporting compliance investigations by gathering and analyzing data.
    • Preparing metrics to report surveillance results.
    • Staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and internal policy updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree: 8-10 years' experience in Financial Services or Banking Compliance Experience in using automated communications surveillance systems.
  • Good understanding of market abuse / conduct / compliance topics.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across multiple departments.

  • Native-level proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing is required. Fluency in other languages is a plus.
