Plant Manager Job Description

The job involves managing a manufacturing plant with responsibility for overseeing production capacities, infrastructure and machinery investments, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing Director of a private limited entity engaged in manufacturing hydraulic gear pumps
  • Leading technical and commercial functions/teams
  • Overseeing plant technical capacity and infrastructure investments
  • Ensuring achievement of quality and HSE targets through structured approach
  • Driving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency/OEE of the plant
  • Developing lean manufacturing approaches to achieve cost reduction targets
  • Driving revenue growth and EBIT targets
  • Fulfilling all audit requirements-legal, commercial, and technical

Requirements:
  • Basic Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering
  • Preferred Qualification: Additional qualification in Business Management
  • Language Proficiency: English, Kannada, and Hindi
  • Organization: 9 direct reportees
  • Customer-centric approach
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of business finance and financial data analysis
  • Ability to cooperate with other sister plants in a worldwide production network
