Cloud Native Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to design, build, and validate resilient cloud-native environments.

  • Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Secure Infrastructure: Architect, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure using AWS services.
  • Automate Infrastructure Provisioning: Use Terraform / CloudFormation and AWS SDKs to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
  • Manage Containerized Workloads: Manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Python Development: Build automation scripts, deployment utilities, and infrastructure tooling using Python and Boto3.
  • Development of Monitoring/Alerting Integrations: Develop custom monitoring/alerting integrations with APIs, SDKs, and third-party observability platforms.
  • Implementation of Self-Healing Scripts: Implement self-healing and resilience-focused automation scripts.

Chaos Engineering & Resiliency

  • Design and Execute Chaos Experiments: Design and execute chaos experiments using Gremlin, Litmus, Chaos Mesh, or AWS Fault Injection Simulator to validate system resilience.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Partner with SRE and development teams to define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
  • Documentation of Learnings: Document learnings from chaos tests and improve incident response & recovery playbooks.

DevOps & Observability

  • Build CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and AWS CodePipeline.
  • Integration of Observability Frameworks: Integrate observability frameworks like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, CloudWatch, and Datadog for monitoring and tracing.
  • Proactive Alerting: Ensure proactive alerting and real-time visibility into system health.

Security & Compliance

  • Application of Security Best Practices: Apply AWS security best practices for IAM, networking, and data protection.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory frameworks like SOC2, ISO, GDPR, etc.
