WordPress Developer Wanted

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins, as well as the ability to turn project requirements into functional, responsive websites.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins according to project specifications.
  • Maintain and update existing WordPress websites to ensure they remain secure, efficient, and up-to-date.
  • Optimize websites for performance, speed, and search engine optimization best practices.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality web solutions that meet client expectations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs in a timely and effective manner.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance website functionality.
  • Stay current with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and best practices to continually improve skills and knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in WordPress development, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL, with the ability to apply this knowledge in real-world scenarios.
  • Experience with popular page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg, and the ability to leverage their features effectively.
  • Good understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility, ensuring that websites function seamlessly across different devices and browsers.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git, allowing for efficient collaboration and code management.
  • Knowledge of website performance optimization and security best practices, including techniques for improving website speed and preventing common security threats.
  • Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building strategies.
Prioritized Skills (Nice to Have):
  • Experience with WooCommerce or other WordPress-based eCommerce platforms, enabling the development of robust and scalable e-commerce solutions.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and AJAX, allowing for the creation of dynamic and interactive web applications.
  • Understanding of web hosting, cPanel, and DNS configuration, providing a solid foundation for managing and maintaining websites.
  • Experience with website migration and backups, ensuring business continuity and minimizing downtime.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, promoting collaborative teamwork and iterative project delivery.
