VMware InfraOps Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced VMware InfraOps Engineer to design, implement and operate VMware Aria Suite of products, vCenter, NSX, ESXi, Cloud Director etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing infrastructure solutions using VMware products.
  • Administering and operating VMware Aria Suite of products, vCenter, NSX, ESXi, Cloud Director etc.
  • Developing and maintaining scripts for automation and development using Python or PowerShell.
  • Designing and implementing monitoring and alerting systems using VMware Aria Operations and VMware Aria Automation.
  • Working with Enterprise Cloud environments and understanding deployment practices from Development to Test to Staging to Production.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with designing, implementing and operating VMware Aria Suite of products, vCenter, NSX, ESXi, Cloud Director etc.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with system automation, scripting (Python or PowerShell), and development.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Linux system administration or development.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with software engineering and testing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Enterprise Cloud environments.
  • Understanding of deployment practices from Development to Test to Staging to Production.
  • Good communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Ansible.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with VMware API integration development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Cloud networking, including VMware NSX.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with IBM Cloud API integration development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Windows Active Directory administration or development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Windows SQL server administration or development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Jenkins build and platforms.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Web UI development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with GitHub issue and code management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with networking, and network security components, firewalls, gateways.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with secure engineering principles and best practices.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with security standards, authentication, authorization, and encryption protocols.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Kubernetes.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Telegraf.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with VeeamOne.
