Senior Data Systems Specialist

As a highly skilled AS/400 professional, you will play a pivotal role in helping organisations harness the power of data to drive digital transformation, enhance operational efficiency and achieve sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:- Proven experience with IBM AS/400 systems, including COBOL, RPG III, RPGILE, SQLILE and CLLE programming languages
- Deep understanding of business purposes behind AS400 applications and overall processes/functions they support
- Strong knowledge of system architecture diagrams of AS400 applications, including interface mechanisms with upstream and downstream systems
- Ability to document various AS400 environments, OS levels and database versions
- Expertise in COBOL, RPG programming, DB2 databases, CL commands and communication protocols specific to AS400
- Proficiency in performing walkthroughs of complex, critical or error-prone COBOL, RPG code modules
- Understanding of integration with other systems and monitoring setup on AS400 servers
Compliance Requirements: Identifying applicable compliance and regulatory requirements for AS400 system and ensuring adherence. Documenting dependencies with L2/L3 support teams and interactions with infrastructure teams for AS400.
