We're seeking a visionary Furniture Designer to elevate our solid wood furniture offerings.

This role requires a creative problem solver who can synthesize customer preferences, global market trends, and manufacturing capabilities to develop innovative product lines in dining, seating, and case goods.

  • Conduct research on customer behavior, social media, and international market trends to inform design concepts
  • Create original design ideas in solid wood (Mango, Oak, Acacia, Teak) that align with our export strengths
  • Utilize CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino) to create production-ready drawings
  • Collaborate with merchandising and sourcing teams to bring concepts to life as viable collections
  • Work closely with prototyping teams to refine joinery, finishes, ergonomics, and structural integrity
  • Incorporate KD (knock-down) joinery, export packaging standards, and compliance requirements
  • Develop compelling design boards, line sheets, and client presentations for export buyers
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in furniture design, preferably in solid wood
  • Strong proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino)
  • Knowledge of global furniture trends, ergonomics, finishing techniques, and joinery
  • Able to translate research into commercially viable designs
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
Bonus Skills
  • Experience working with reclaimed or sustainable wood materials
  • Understanding of packaging and shipping for exports
  • Familiarity with American and European design preferences
  • Prior experience in export-oriented furniture markets
