About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Critical Facilities Operations and Maintenance Engineer to join our team at NTT America Solutions, Inc.
As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, installing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and other infrastructure systems in mission-critical, high-risk, or high-reliability data center environments.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all facility components are functioning optimally, and you will analyze current operating conditions to recommend new preventative and proactive methods for maintaining and monitoring facilities systems.
Main Responsibilities:
- Designs, plans, installs, and/or maintains mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems in mission-critical, high-risk, or high-reliability environments such as data centers or utilities infrastructure.
- Works with all major systems within a facility or building such as electrical and HVAC systems and performs regular maintenance on all systems.
- Evaluates facility standards and practices to improve maintenance procedures and ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Complies with organizational and governmental safety standards and coordinates response to emergency situations and ensures that corrective measures are rapid and thorough.
- Participates in the planning and installation of new facility systems and may work with multiple components including HVAC systems, air or liquid cooling systems, CRAC/CRAH units, power distribution units, fire systems, life safety systems, etc.
Requirements:
- Seasoned experience working in a similar engineering role, preferably a data center environment.
- Seasoned experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or other technical engineering and maintenance field.
- Seasoned experience interpreting blueprints/CAD drawings.
- Seasoned experience in facilities / building maintenance.
- Seasoned experience in designing, planning, installing and / or maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems in mission-critical, high-risk, or high-reliability environments such as data centers or utilities infrastructure.
