As a key contributor to our organization, the System Designer will play a pivotal role in defining requirements and designing applications that meet business process and application needs.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for working closely with stakeholders to translate user needs into functional specifications. This involves collaborating with team members to ensure that the design aligns with business objectives and technical feasibility, while also participating in the iterative process of application development to refine and enhance the solutions provided.

Responsibilities:
  • Expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in OpenEdge ABL.
  • Collaborate and manage the team to perform tasks effectively.
  • Responsible for making team decisions.
  • Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions.
  • Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with timelines and deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Mastery of OpenEdge ABL is required.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles and methodologies.
  • Experience in database management and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with agile development practices and frameworks.
  • A minimum of 7.5 years of experience in OpenEdge ABL is essential.

A typical day involves gathering insights from various stakeholders, analyzing user needs, and translating them into actionable plans. The System Designer will engage in discussions with team members to ensure seamless collaboration and continuous improvement.
