Software Engineering Lead

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to lead our development team in Bengaluru. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving technical solutions and delivery for business features, enabling transformational programs or growth initiatives.

The primary responsibility will be driving the technical solution and delivery for business features and therefore help drive new initiatives that enable transformational program or growth initiatives for new business deliveries.

Dev/SL2/SL3 Engineers are located across India, London, US and Singapore.

Product Overview

The Repo Trade Life-cycle Platform is a suite of components written in C++, Java, C#, React and Oracle.

The platform is at the heart of financing the bank's fixed income positions.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality applications with a focus on stability, simplicity, maintainability, and efficiency
  • Contribute to all stages of Software Development Lifecycle Coding, testing (TDD, BDD) and reviewing other team member's changes
  • Collaborate with QA team on test automation
  • Contribute to the definition of the future state of the system architecture
  • Engage with business users/stakeholders to understand their requirements
  • Participate in release planning, automation testing, and some 3rd-line support (rotation based)
Requirements
  • At least 7-8 years of experience in designing and building Java-based applications
  • Experience in web development e.g. React/Angular
  • Experience with the full software development life cycle and professional experience using Spring frameworks
  • Solid experience on Oracle and Linux
  • Ability to work on projects with high complexity and responsibility
  • Familiarity with integrating with third-party services using their APIs
  • Good experience with REST, GRPC and message business (e.g. JMS, MSMQ, Solace)
  • Strong experience in TDD and BDD
  • Working experience on C++ is a plus
  • Fixed Income Product Knowledge, specifically Trade Processing Life Cycle
