Scientific Leader in Microbiology

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Scientific Leader to join our team of experts in microbiology research. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laboratory operations, experimentation, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory Operations and Experimentation:

    • Develop and implement study protocols aligned with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.

    • Conduct experiments in the laboratory, ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.

    • Maintain accurate records of experimental data and results.

    • Oversee daily equipment maintenance and ensure optimal functionality.

  • Quality Control and Reporting:

    • Ensure high-quality results by performing regular internal quality control checks.

    • Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation systems.

    • Report results in a clear and concise manner, aligned with established guidelines.

  • Team Leadership and Development:

    • Supervise and train junior staff to maintain high-quality technical work.

    • Continuously update knowledge and skills in the field, facilitating training for the team.

  • Project Management and Coordination:

    • Develop project plans and coordinate with various functional teams to ensure timely completion.

    • Collaborate with laboratory personnel, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field; specialization in clinical or medical microbiology preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a clinical research or microbiology laboratory, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Proven experience with microbial cultures, sampling, and analysis in research settings, ideally related to infectious diseases or oral health.

  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ICH-GCP and SOPs for clinical trials.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in experimental design and data interpretation.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills for team supervision and cross-functional coordination.

  • Proficiency in laboratory equipment handling, quality control processes, and documentation systems.
