About the Role

The ORCHID HOTEL is seeking an experienced and skilled Restaurant Captain to join our team. As a Restaurant Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, and ensuring only the highest quality products are being served.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the Restaurant Captain include:

  • Greeting and welcoming guests promptly in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Thanking and giving fond farewell to guests conveying anticipation for their next visit.
  • Assisting guests with table reservations and seating.
  • Ensuring guests are serviced within specified time.
  • Having a good knowledge of menu and presentation standards.
  • Communicating with guests and staff using clear and professional language, and answering phone calls using appropriate telephone etiquette.
  • Able to answer any questions regarding menu and assist with menu selections.
  • Able to anticipate any unexpected guest need and react promptly and tactfully.
Requirements

To be successful as a Restaurant Captain, you should have:

  • Good command in both spoken and written English.
  • Pleasing personality.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Good knowledge of food and beverage service.
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications for the Restaurant Captain role include:

  • Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or related field.
  • Familiarity with Point of Sale systems, MS Office, and Property Management systems.
  • 2-3 years of work experience in Food and Beverage gained from a 5-star international property.
  • 1 year experience in a Captain position or a similar role.
