Project Overview:

Bechtel is seeking a skilled professional to join their team as a Senior Scheduler for a mega Datacenter project in India. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team to assist in the preparation, establishment, and maintenance of schedule data for the project, proposals, or contracts.

Job Summary:

The role involves performing schedule development duties, monitoring, reporting, and analysis, as well as assisting with schedule recovery plans. This will enable Bechtel to optimize the scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project deadlines and objectives.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Experience in schedule development, control, and analysis, in the home office for Datacenter projects.
  • Assists in the preparation of schedule data for Datacenter proposals or contracts.
  • Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline, area, or specialty.
  • Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, and establishing the proper workflow logic ties.
  • Collection, verification, and integration of work scope for individual entities related to Engineering, Procurement, and Construction into the total project plan.
  • Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties.
  • Responsible for obtaining required schedule information by all relevant disciplines.
  • Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics.
  • Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to finding criticality of schedule activities.
  • Assists with look ahead schedules, work front analysis, and schedule recovery plans.
  • Reports to and receives technical guidance and operational supervision from designated supervisory personnel.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision.
