Key Roles and Responsibilities

Founding Backend Engineers play a pivotal role in building the backend foundations of our seedless Bitcoin wallet.

We're seeking an experienced professional to contribute to creating robust, low-latency APIs and real-time services for instant sends, swaps, and approvals. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and maintaining a resilient ledger and state machine for money movement, as well as implementing a policy engine for approvals, caps, timelocks, and joint accounts.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring performance, reliability, and observability across production systems. Additionally, you'll own backend partner integrations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, including async I/O, queues, retries, state machines, and database modeling. If you have experience with crypto custody/MPC, Bitcoin UTXOs, or fintech/payment systems, it's a plus

A successful candidate should possess strong skills in TypeScript/Node, Go, Rust, or Kotlin, along with a track record of owning systems end-to-end from design to production. We're looking for individuals who can take ownership of complex problems and drive solutions forward.
