We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Estimator to join our team. As an experienced professional in the broadband, telecom, and outside plant industry, you will be responsible for providing accurate estimates and bids for projects.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Review customer provided Request for Proposals (RFPs) documents to gain a thorough understanding of project scope, requirements, specifications, schedule, and customer objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive estimate and bid preparation templates tailored to each RFP project.
  • Utilize expert-level proficiency in Excel to build cost breakdowns, high-level schedules, risk registers, preliminary resource plans, and populate customer bid pricing forms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary project information and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and research to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to present estimates, address inquiries, and provide recommendations as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in estimating within the broadband, telecom, or outside plant industry.
  • Expertise in Excel with the ability to develop complex spreadsheets and models.
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong passion for the industry and a drive for excellence.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members and clients.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets.
  • Able to comply with and enforce risk management policies and safety procedures.
  • Experience preparing budgets for each project.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, processes, trade practices, and equipment.
  • OSHA 10, 30 Certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in using software suites such as Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English.
