Cloud Engineer for Advanced Infrastructure

Our organization seeks an expert in cloud architecture to design, implement, and optimize our enterprise-grade cloud-native infrastructure. This role will be responsible for hands-on work with architecture and automation while also providing strategic direction on best practices.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive architecture plan for cloud-based workloads in Azure.
  • Design multi-environment, multi-region architectures for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Establish best practices for container orchestration, scaling, governance, and cost optimization.
  • Azure & AKS Expertise:
  • Implement advanced features such as cluster and node pool autoscaling, private cluster configuration, network isolation using Azure CNI / Kubenet, managed identities, and Azure AD integration.
  • Integrate AKS with supporting services like Azure Monitor, Managed Prometheus & Grafana, Azure Container Registry (ACR), and Azure Key Vault.
  • DevOps & Automation:
  • Design Infrastructure as Code solutions with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates for AKS provisioning.
  • Implement GitOps workflows for automated deployments.
  • Define CI/CD architecture for AKS workloads.
  • Security & Compliance:
  • Develop RBAC and Azure AD security models for AKS access.
  • Integrate security scanning for container images and Kubernetes workloads.
  • Ensure alignment with compliance frameworks and governance policies.
  • Monitoring, Logging, & Observability:
  • Implement observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Managed Prometheus, Container Insights, and Grafana.
  • Establish automated alerting, anomaly detection, and incident response playbooks.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Architecture, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure, with deep expertise in AKS.
  • Strong technical skills in Kubernetes architecture & troubleshooting, Azure networking, IaC tools, and container security.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Experience with service mesh architectures.
  • Familiarity with multi-cluster management tools.
  • Experience in workload migration to AKS.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead design workshops and architecture reviews.
  • Strategic problem-solver with hands-on implementation skills.
