We are currently seeking a skilled Data Migration Specialist to join our Data Migration team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for performing duties such as data migration of client data from legacy/3rd party systems into FIS products. You will also be working on Client or internal engagement with full responsibilities in terms of completing the Data Migration/Conversion/Integration with developers within the prescribed time and with the highest quality.
About the Team:
The Data Migration team focuses on data migration of client data from legacy/3rd party systems into FIS products. This team consists of technical and functional specialists in Adeptia, PL/SQL, SSIS with solid domain knowledge of Lending, Risk, Securities Market, Transfer Agency business, and Treasury products.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Business Analyst Specialist, you will be working on Client or internal engagement with full responsibilities in terms of completing the Data Migration/Conversion/Integration with developers within the prescribed time and with the highest quality. You will also be responsible for clear and timely communication for the projects you would be working on, escalating problems in a timely manner, and taking them to closure with dedicated efforts. You will be involved in quickly understanding the system, doing data modeling, and data mapping with clients, helping the technical team to build and implement the migration strategy.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have a Graduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Applications (B.Sc./B.C.A./B.Tech./B.E./M.C.A.) and some degree in Capital Markets or Finance (MBA). You should also have at least 10-12 years of overall experience and major experience in Capital Markets domain including Securities Markets/Mutual funds/Derivatives/other asset classes and Transfer Agency business. Additionally, you should have 5-6 years' experience with ETL teams working on data mapping/data modeling/Business System analysis/gap analysis. Strong knowledge of RDBMS concepts and OLTP system architecture is also required. Competence with other analytical programs, the desire, and ability to understand new software applications are also necessary. Experience reviewing query performance and optimizing/developing more efficient code, experience of job scheduling, and working knowledge on at least one 3rd party scheduler are also required. Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools, ability to translate client requirements to technical specifications, and participate in Migration and Conversion Strategy are also necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent inter-personal skills, and comfort in establishing professional relationships especially remotely are also required. Proven ability to plan and execute effectively to meet critical time-sensitive objectives, ability to effectively work alone and independently, experience in either the Banking or Financial Industry, good mentorship skills, and ability to deliver effectively in high-pressure situations are also required.
