About the Role

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to lead the design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for architecting and implementing real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions.

Our ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership skills, with experience in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics. They will also have hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies, including REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations
  2. Architect and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions
  3. Ensure seamless integration of OT systems (PLC, SCADA, MES) with enterprise IT systems (ERP, databases, cloud)
  4. Develop and maintain secure and efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols
  5. Manage industrial databases (SQL, historian, timeseries databases) for high availability and performance
  6. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs
  7. Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics
  8. Troubleshoot, optimize, and support existing SCADA/MES deployments to ensure minimal downtime
  9. Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong background in MES functions (production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, etc.)
  • Proficiency with database technologies (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies (REST APIs, MQTT, OPC UA, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems (PLC, SCADA, HMIs, plant floor connectivity)
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards (ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms (Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc.)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for SCADA/MES deployments
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation Industry 4.0 projects
  • Certifications (Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications)
